The place to share romantic sunsets
The Central Pacific coast is definitely the most beautiful and diverse region of Costa Rica. It is a tropical paradise with evergreen forests, warm Pacific waves on sandy beaches, national parks, white sand beaches, mangrove forests, waterfalls, lots of wildlife and active nightlife. Activities include ocean tours to nearby islands, aerial tram rides, canopy tours, jungle adventure tours, horseback riding, surfing, hiking, sport fishing and much more.
The Central Pacific coast starts down at Golfo Dulce and heads north to the Gulf of Nicoya and the city of Puntarenas, it includes destinations such as the villages of Quepos, Manuel Antonio National Park, Herradura and Jaco Beaches.
The Central Pacific offers many boutique hotels, hidden away in the lush vegetation of its hills but also a larger deluxe property with marina.
Jaco & Herradura Beaches are very popular among Costa Ricans because of its proximity to San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital city (approx. 2 hrs driving).
In Jaco you may find shopping, nightlife, accommodations and anything else you might need to be comfortable.
In the area between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, located at 1 hour driving from Jaco beach, there are dozens of hotels and restaurants offering a wide selection of accommodations and dining options.
The Central Pacific has many important private protected areas and the two most well known are Carara and Manuel Antonio National Parks, pristine green zones greatly enjoyed by nature lovers.
Carara National Park is a transitional zone with several ecosystems and an incredible variety of wildlife including the largest population of scarlet macaws in Costa Rica.
Manuel Antonio National Park is not only one of the most beautiful parks in the country but also the most popular. This park has evergreen forests providing natural shade from the tropical sun, gorgeous white sand beaches and trails leading to wonderful lookouts with breathtaking views. This is a true paradise where you will have close contact with monkeys and bright-colored birds.
