Accommodation in San José
DAY 02 - San José City Tour
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. The morning will be at leisure for you to enjoy your hotel facilities or explore the surroundings. In the afternoon get your camera ready to join the San José City Tour.
This tour immerses you in the rich Costa Rican culture and history by experiencing the beautiful museums and historical sites of San José. It begins with an orientation and drive through the beautiful Sabana Park. Next, we will take a walking tour through the historic National Theater. Completed in 1897, the theater is a masterpiece in art and architecture. Afterwards we will visit one of the many unique museums of Costa Rica.
We will continue heading to the University of Costa Rica, the Supreme Court and various sites of interest. A brief stop will be made in a beautiful art craft shopping store allowing you to browse through it before returning to your hotel and why not, buy some souvenirs for those who are expecting you back at home
Lunch and dinner are on your own.
DAY 03 - Monteverde
After breakfast your shuttle transportation will depart from your hotel towards the area of Monteverde Cloud Forest. After check in, the rest of the day will be at leisure for you to enjoy this wonderful area, certainly a natural paradise in the clouds. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Set atop the spine of Costa Rica’s continental divide, Monteverde is a world above the coastal towns that dot the country's famous shoreline. It is a place of cloud forests and coffee plantations, monkeys, mist, and friendly locals. The town of Santa Elena is small and quaint, filled with tasty restaurants and folksy artisan shops, while the nearby rainforest hosts a remarkable amount of biodiversity.

DAY 05 - Rincón de la Vieja Area
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel followed by a shuttle transfer to the area of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park. The day will be at leisure for you to enjoy your hotel facilities such as relaxing hot springs and mud baths at Rio Negro that are part of this amazing deal. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Rincon de la Vieja, the largest volcano in the country's northwest, comprises a remote volcanic complex in the Guanacaste Range. At least nine eruptive vents are located within a 15-kilometer-wide caldera. The twin cone of 1,916 meter Santa Maria volcano, the highest peak of the Rincon complex, features an inactive crater 500 meters across. Indulge your body with mud baths from the magical lands of this volcanic mountain.
Surrounded by tropical dry forest, the Río Negro (Black River) Hot Springs feature six pools with thermal waters heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. The soothing mineral waters are crystal clear and all natural, and the river flows through the pools constantly refilling them with water. Relax and enjoy luxuriating in our healing waters. You can also try our volcanic mud “bath”, where you smooth volcanic clay mud all over yourself like a spa “masque,” then after it dries, wash it off with a cool river water shower. The hot springs water will feel great afterwards!
At Symbiosis Spa the property also offers a variety of massages, body and facial treatments to increase your feeling of rejuvenation. We advise you to make a reservation for additional treatments on extra charge.

DAY 04 - Sky Walk
After breakfast meet with your transportation at the reception of your hotel to depart on an amazing guided walk through the tree top. Admire the beautiful scenarios from a different perspective on the Sky Walk tour at the Monteverde hanging bridges. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Half way between the town of Santa Elena and the Santa Elena Preserve the Sky Walk is located: This complex use trail and suspension bridges for a more tranquil introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy, constructed within the cloud forest. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a walk on the ground taking you up to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat, called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide.

DAY 06 - Adventure Choice
After breakfast you will have the opportunity to choose in between one of the following adventures: Canyon Canopy Zip Lines, Horseback Riding or Rio Negro River Tubing. Afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Enjoy a fun and exciting adventure at the Rio Negro Tubing. We’ll head out from Hacienda Guachipelín by horseback on our trusty ranch horses (or you can also go by vehicle transport). After a 45-minute ride through the forest, it’s just a short walk to the foot of the Victoria Waterfall, where our tubing adventure begins. You will have the time of your life bouncing down Rio Negro’s crystal clear and fun rapids in your individual rafting “tube”. Our guides will be riding down with you to ensure your safety.
We’ll go by Horseback Riding 45 minutes on scenic forest trails to the captivating Victoria Waterfall, which plunges 115 feet (35 meters) into the Colorado River. Its surrounding canyon has a unique vegetation and topography. At the end of the trail, we leave the horses for a short, steep descent down to the river. The picturesque pool at the waterfall’s base is perfect for a cooling swim in the crystal clear water.

DAY 07 - Tamarindo Beach
Transportation will depart from your hotel after breakfast to take you to the coast of the North Pacific where you will have the time to relax and enjoy the beach at worldwide famous Tamarindo. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

DAY 08 - 10 - Tamarindo Beach
Breakfast is included at your hotel. The following days will be at leisure for you to enjoy your hotel facilities, visit Tamarindo and other neighbored beaches, and take time to relax or book any optional activities. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Surf Lessons & Tamarindo Shopping
Guanacaste is Costa Rica’s most popular sun and beach destination. One of the most popular beaches is Tamarindo. Famous for its waves, it has become a surfer’s favorite. Let the pro’s teach you how to surf for a couple of hours. Afterwards, you will explore Costa Rica’s beach lifestyle with the many local restaurants and little shops for picking up souvenirs.
During this tour we will show you the rich Bio- Diversity of Costa Rica and one of the most relevant and special natural events in our country, the sea turtle nesting all year around. Between August and October you will have the chance to experience the turtle nesting Arribadas (tens to hundreds of thousands of sea turtles landing and nesting on beaches for few nights), during the new moon. The arribadas in Costa Rica are a unique natural event.
Sailing Catamaran, Snorkeling & Sunset Tour
Silently glide along Costa Rica’s Coast while passing some of Guanacaste’s exotic bays, white sand beaches and tropical jungles. You can scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish or even a breaching whale. Stop in a tranquil bay, drop anchor and frolic in the blue Pacific. Snorkel in the bay or run down the deserted white sand beach.
Palo Verde National Park
Take a trip to a site with the greatest wildlife. This tour will take you through wetlands and primary forest where you can see a wide number of different species of flora and fauna. Enjoy a boat tour on the Tempisque River. This wildlife sanctuary protects the lower basin, where mangroves, marshes and seasonally flooded fields provide ideal conditions for resident and migratory waterfowl, crocodiles and scarlet macaws.
DAY 11 - San José
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel followed by shuttle transfer to San José to have a last night in town. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
DAY 12 - Adiós Costa Rica
After breakfast at the hotel (time permit) travel to San José International Airport to take your flight back home.
