Upon arrival to Juan Santamaria International Airport (San Jose’s International Airport), an airport representative will lead you to immigration area and customs. After clearing official entry procedures our bilingual representative will be waiting outside the terminal. He/She will take care of your luggage and transport you to the hotel. On the way to the hotel your group will receive a complete orientation on following day’s activities and travel documents. Night spent at CROWNE PLAZA COROBICI or a similar hotel. |

Early morning transfer to Tobias Bolaños Domestic Airport for flight to Barra del Colorado on the Caribbean coast. This coast is considered by many to be the sport fishing Mecca. No time will be lost. This same morning you will be on the water with a professional guide in search of the “Silver King” (as the Tarpon is known) or for the world class Snook. Tarpon usually runs from 60 to 100 lbs, while the Snook runs from the 5-pound youngster to the 20 to 30 pound fully developed adult. You’ll be able to fish until noon. After that you’ll go back to the Lodge for lunch before setting out again in the afternoon for more fishing! Night spent at SILVER KING LODGE or a similar hotel. |

After a good night’s rest you will be able to continue with the Costa Rica Grand Slam Program. You will take a small airplane back to San Jose, where a van will be waiting for you. We’ll provide the ground transfer to Arenal, which is located in the central north part of Costa Rica. Night spent at Tilajari Hotel or a similar one. |

The Tilajari Hotel will serve as your base camp for today as you will venture into the Arenal Lake! Here the search will continue for Tarpon, the bass like “Guapote” and the prehistoric Gar Fish. Tarpon here ranges from 40 up to 150 pounds; the “Guapote” will run from 3 to 8 pounds. Techniques and tackle which are most successful are similar to those used for large mountain bass. After a Half day on the water you will come back to the hotel. Night spent at Tilajari hotel or a similar one. |

After another nice day of fishing in the Arenal Lake it’s off to the third and final leg of your fishing adventure. You will depart by ground transportation from Arenal to Costa Rica’s North Pacific Coast. You will arrive at Ocotal Sport fishing resort. You will have the rest of day to relax and prepare for the next two days of Deep Water fishing. Night spent at Ocotal Sport Fishing Resort or similar. |

The fishing day begins with coffee on the ocean view terrace of your room. Breakfast will be served at 6:30 am. After that, at 7:30 am you will be taken to your own 32 ft twin diesel boat. The sailfish ranges from 90 to 120 pounds while the great Marlin (both black and blue) generally runs in the 300 to 500 pound category! Night spent at Ocotal Sport Fishing Resort or similar. |

The second day of Deep Water fishing continues. This time you’ll be on the lookout for The Roosterfish, which always start at 40 pounds and weigh up to 80. Our crew is Costa Rica’s finest and knows how to put the fisherman on the fish! Fly-fishing for the sailfish is encouraged. It will take about an hour to get to the fishing spots. Don’t worry about the tackle and bait; we’ll take care of that! Night spent at Ocotal Sport Fishing Resort or similar. |

After two days of fishing and with a sailfish, marling or Roosterfish (hopefully the three!) in the bag, your Costa Rica Grand Slam Sport fishing draws to a close with a morning departure back to our capital, San Jose. OVERNIGHT AT CROWNE PLAZA COROBICI OR SIMILAR |

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to Juan Santamaria International Airport to take your flight back home. We recommend that international flight passengers should be at the airport at least 2 hours before the flight departure time.
