The route to Sarchí passes picturesque small towns and some of the largest coffee and sugar cane plantations of Costa Rica. Arriving first at Grecia, we will see the famous metal church and appreciate its rare and beautiful architecture.
Sarchí is the cradle of Costa Rican handiwork, where the famous painted oxcarts - symbols of Costa Rican folklore - are still made using traditional methods. Sarchí´s workshops also produce thousands of souvenirs carved from fine tropical hardwoods, or made of leather and textiles.
