Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica !

Arrival to Juan Santamaría International / San Jose Airport. Meet and greet by Costa Rica Representative (CRT) Once clients individually clear official entry procedures they exit the terminal building, where our bilingual tour guide will assist participants with the transfer to hotel and luggage handling.

Day 2 San José - Sarapiquí
|

After breakfast leave your hotel for Sarapiquí area visiting San Jose Sightseeing City Tour and Tirimbina Reserve en-route to enjoy the Chocolate Tour.

San Jose Sightseeing City Tour: The City Tour is the best way to begin a trip to Costa Rica. The sightseeing tour goes through the main residential areas and commercial district of the city, founded in 1637. Today the Greater San Jose Metro area is the most cosmopolitan and biggest city in all Costa Rica and Central America.

The Chocolate Tour: The sweetest experience: In this activity you will discover the marvels of one of the favorite foods of humankind - chocolate. The tour includes a guided hike across the Tirimbina suspension bridge to a cacao plantation.

Day 3 Sarapiquí River Rafting
|
|
|

After the breakfast leave your hotel for river rafting and lunch. The balance of the day is at your leisure to enjoy lodge facilities or walking through the rain forest.

Half-day river rafting adventure tour at Sarapiquí River (class II-III rapids):This tour leaves at the Hacienda Pozo Azul’s. It can be run year round, and no previous experience is required. The tour is very safe with several accesses throughout the tour and constant communication with the base. The tour starts as you take the float through an exited section of white water rafting and unique lagoons, surrounded by exuberant flora.

After breakfast check out and transfer to Arenal Area. Tour of Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs upon arrival.

Arenal Volcano & Hot Springs: The classically conical shape of Arenal Volcano dominates the rolling plains of Arenal, emitting occasional puffs of smoke as it bursts into thunderous eruption. This tour departs early afternoon, to enjoy the lushness of the surrounding scenery and the majestic form of Arenal Volcano by the light of day or nightfall We will also visit the local hot volcanic springs for a swim and dinner.

Day 5 Arenal - Central Pacific Coast

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer from Arenal to the Central Pacific Coast visiting en-route Carara National Park.

Carara National Park: Relatively small in size (4,700 Hectares), the massive importance of Carara stems from its geographical location in a transition area between the Tropical Dry Forest region to the north, and the more humid Pacific Rainforest to the south. Carara has flora and fauna from both ecosystems and the virgin forest that covers most of the park is the ideal environment for such rare wildlife as the Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao), the Collared Aracari (Pteroglossus torquatos) and monkeys.

Day 6 & 7 Central Pacific Coast

Days at leisure to explore the surroundings on your own or taking any optional activity. (Cost for optional activities not included on the total package price).

Canopy Tour: This 3 hours trip will guarantee a full range of excitement while in total contact with one the few transitional forests remaining between the Tropical Dry Forest and the Tropical Humid Forest in Costa Rica. To move from tree to tree we use the best quality pulleys and climbing gear.

Jungle River & Crocodile Adventure: Discover first−hand the wonders of nature in the Rain Forest. This adventure takes place on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, along the Tárcoles River, near the Carara National Park and nesting sites of the Scarlet Macaw and large colonies of crocodiles . The area is also home to 250 species of birds, such as the tanagers, flycatchers, trogons, orioles and hummingbirds. From October to April some of the many birds frequently seen are ospreys, gulls, terns cormorants, pelicans and frigates.

Day 8 Hasta pronto Costa Rica !!

Breakfast at the hotel then depart to San José’s International Airport and flight back home (3 hour driving time).

According to the International Airport requirements all passengers should be at airport at least 3 hours before departure flight time for safety and check in procedures.
